School History

Beaver Dam School originally opened in 1922.  The wood-framed building contained six classrooms, four teachers, eleven grades and a principal.  The students brought their lunches and  each classroom was heated by a potbellied wood stove.  This building is a part of the present day school.  In 1928, the high school moved to Stedman. For the next 40 years, the school contained grades one through seven.
Today, Beaver Dam Elementary includes Kindergarten through fifth grade. The Beaver Dam Beaver Achievers are always busy with exciting programs and events.  Parents are encouraged to have lunch with their children, to participate in classroom activities and field trips, and to volunteer through our PTA.
